Tuna sashimi

Tuna and salmon sashimi are some of my favourite foods. It makes me happy just looking at a plate with the beautiful colours. We don’t have a Japanese restaurant where we live and it’s one of the things that I really miss. However, when we have as good a fish monger as we do, we can make sashimi ourselves!

I hav written about the fresh wasabi from The Wasabi Company before, but here it is again and Japan Centre has great Japanese ingredients.

 

Ingredients:

  • sushi grade tuna
  • a good quality soya sauce
  • fresh wasabi
  • fresh ginger or gari (pickled ginger) if you prefer
