I love steamed spinach with poached eggs but wilted wild garlic is even better! More flavoursome, much more. And it doesn’t give you that irony aftertaste. Such a satisfying breakfast and the whole point with working from home. In not waisting time commuting to an office I have time every day to cook proper food. So this morning, we had wilted wild garlic, poached egg, sticky weed and pancetta for breakfast. Lucky kids!
On the last foraging expedition I grabbed some sticky weed as well. Just to try. It’s a little hairy and has a slight bitter taste but is edible. I was also looking for Alexanders but didn’t find any.
